The Thinkering Studio is a place where students can participate in hands-on activities intended to challenge and extend their thinking. Emphasis is placed on 21st Century Skills: Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking and Creativity. Students participate in a variety of challenges that require them to use problem-solving and logic skills as well as persistence and perseverance. Materials in the lab include Dot and Dash robots, Ozobots, Blubots, LEGOs, marble runs, race tracks and everyday items that can be used in new ways to design solutions.
We need your help! Through the use of grant money, we've purchased some necessities to get a start. We're looking for a few more supplies to provide our students with additional challenges. Please click on the Supply List link to see if there are some items you would be willing to donate. If you choose to get something from the list, please send it with your child and mark the item with "Thinkering Studio". We have also set up an Amazon Wish List with some additional items (all priced under $20) if you would prefer to use that.
We are also looking for some parent volunteers to help in the Thinkering Studio. Responsibilities would include refilling and straightening up the supplies. Time is very flexible.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Trost, Ms. Kiekhaefer or Mrs. Bader. Thanks for your help!
