Sadie Macholl - Special Education Teacher
I am an elementary school special education teacher at Heritage Elementary School. Out of high school, I attended UW-Green Bay and earned my elementary education degree. Student teaching was the beginning of my journey in the Unified School District of De Pere as a student teacher at Susie C. Altmayer in the fall of 2007. I then was a substitute teacher in the district for a year and a half. The next leg of my journey took me to Foxview Intermediate School as a special education paraprofessional. It didn't take me long to realize I wanted my own classroom. I went back to school to obtain my special education license. After four years at Foxview, I was hired through Syble Hopp as a satellite teacher at Heritage Elementary School. After one year in that position, I obtained a job through the school district as a special education teacher and have been here ever since! In total, this is my tenth year in the district working with kids with special needs.
I live in Green Bay with my husband and two daughters, who attend Heritage and Foxview. We enjoy the outdoors on the lake water skiing, swimming, boating, and tubing, going camping, and eating s'mores. We spend many weekends up north where my husband and I were raised.
