Mary Lueck Third Grade Teacher
I am a third grade teacher at Heritage Elementary School with over 20 years of teaching experience. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I began my career in the De Pere School District by teaching 8th grade Spanish and working with at-risk students. The following two years I taught 7th grade communications. The past 20 years I have been happily teaching third graders at Heritage. My goal as a teacher is to make third grade one of the most important, memorable and fun experiences for children to have as students in De Pere. I value each child's individual personality and believe in the importance of having the classroom grow together to become a top notch group of learners, as well as a group of friends who support each other. Over the years, some students have known me as the teacher with the classroom bunny. I do enjoy sharing my love of animals with my students and provide opportunities for children to read to the classroom bunny as well as my dog, who is trained as a therapy dog. Third grade is truly my favorite grade and I thoroughly enjoy teaching students of this age.
