Alissa Roe-Reading Recovery Teacher/Literacy Specialist

I have been teaching since 2003 in a variety of roles including preschool, English language learners, special education, first grade, literacy interventionist, and Reading Recovery.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2003 from UW-Milwaukee, my Reading Recovery Teacher certification in 2006 from UW-Oshkosh, my Master of Science degree in Reading Education in 2010 from Concordia University, and my Reading Recovery Teacher Leader certification in 2016 from National Louis University.  My current role affords me the opportunity to teach students and coach teachers which allows me to see the big picture in teaching and learning and how to help the two fit together as seamlessly as possible.
